After leaving school, I went to Highlands College to study for my BTEC First and National Diploma in Sport and gained my Community in Sports Leadership Award.
When I left college, I decided to continue competing in showjumping instead of going to university and worked in the banking and trust industry for three years. While I gave it my best shot, I knew this wasn’t where I belonged. So, in 2010, I left Jersey to study in Cyprus for three months as a full-time student, completing my Level 2 Fitness Instructor, Level 3 Personal Trainer, and Sports Massage qualifications.
Since qualifying in 2011, I have set up my own business (Aurora Fitness), working in local gyms. At this time, working as a personal trainer, I took the bodybuilding competition challenge on. After a few years of personal training, I took a break and worked for a local Health Agency as their full-time sports masseuse and pilates instructor.
In 2018, I decided to go back to working for myself and rebranded my business to “The Aurora Lifestyle,” allowing me to channel my focus on injury prevention. During this time, I went to Spain to qualify as a Human Biomechanics Specialist and also gained my Level 4 Sports Massage qualification in Jersey, allowing me to offer a more diverse business for treatments to my clients.
With my love for sports and passion for helping people improve their performance and recover quickly from injury, I felt that my studying journey wasn’t over yet. In 2023/2024, I qualified in Injury rehabilitation and in 2026 as a sports and clinical therapist.
Since 2025, I have been involved with the Royal RFC as their pitchside therapist and have been travelling internationally looking after Elite Welsh Rugby7’s teams.
